“Hi, Andy Piper here. Today I’m going to talk about Geddes Lake Condos located in northeast Ann Arbor.

Geddes Lake Condos are located in the northeast section of Ann Arbor off Huron Parkway, north of Geddes Road. The location of Geddes Lake condos is perfect for easy access to the University of Michigan North Campus, University of Michigan Medical Campus, as well as St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti. Also nearby is the Veteran’s Hospital. Geddes Lake is also located with easy access to Eastern Michigan University and Washtenaw Community College, as well as easy access to US-23, M-14, and I-94.

One of the things I really like about Geddes Lake Condos is that it is so convenient to just about everything you could ever need in Ann Arbor. For instance, just down the street is Whole Foods Market, Panera Bread, Barnes and Noble, Walgreens… all the shopping you would need is located just a couple minutes away on Washtenaw Avenue and Huron Parkway. Also, Gallup Park is within walking distance to Geddes Lake, giving you access to endless miles of jogging and walking trails. Huron Parkway itself features extra-wide sidewalks, great for running, dog-walking, or biking.

Children attend highly rated King Elementary, Clague Middle, and Huron High School. Huron High is located directly across the street from Geddes Lake Condominiums.

Another thing about Geddes Lake that’s really great is, if you’re at the University of Michigan North Campus or UofM Hospital, this is pretty much the only 3-bedroom condo with a patio, that’s pet-friendly, with 1-car attached garage, for under $200,000. If you’re a med student or resident doctor and you want something affordable close to the hospital, Geddes Lake should be on your short list.

Geddes Lake Condos were designed by well-known local architect David Osler in the 1960s and 1970s. David Osler’s approach was: he always kept one specific goal in mind. “To make sure that my buildings look better in 10 or 15 years than they did when I completed them.” Osler was always very conscientious about the relationship between shelter and landscape, and a visit to Geddes Lake will show this.

The condos at Geddes Lake are located in a setting that is very picturesque. You will find the setting to be as pretty as anything in Ann Arbor. If you’re a pet owner, you’ll really appreciate Geddes Lake. Plenty of open space, and it’s a great space for pet owners and pet lovers.

The Geddes Lake community features 360 two-story townhouses built between 1968 and 1979 with modern 1100-1500 square foot floor plans. Many of these also have lake or pond views. The community also has a swimming pool, tennis courts, kids playground, and walking trails.

There are several townhouse floor plans in Geddes Lake ranging from 1200-1500 square feet. One floor plan, the Terrace Floor Plan, has three bedrooms, with two and a half baths, and is at 1515 square feet. These two-story homes have attached one-car garages.

The Balcony Floor plan features 1280 square feet, and features two bedrooms and one and a half baths with a one-car attached garage. The second floor on these is downstairs. All of the floor plans feature a washer and dryer.

The Courtyard Floor plan features 1230 square feet with two bedrooms and one and a half baths and has a one-car detached garage.

The patio floor plan is a two-story 1200 square foot condo featuring two bedrooms, one and half baths, and a one-car detached garage.

In the last 12 months, there were 31 sales in Geddes Lake, with an average days on market of 32 days (as you can see, things are moving rather quickly). The average sale price in Geddes Lake over the last 12 months was $155,722.

If you’re moving to Ann Arbor to attend the University of Michigan or to take a new job in town, Geddes Lake should definitely be on your short list for places to consider. Geddes Lake offers a tremendous bang for the buck, and there’s lots of opportunity to purchase in there this spring. Thank you.”
